The constraint, stated plainly
Delynt AI connects to Gmail and Google Workspace. It does not connect to Outlook, Microsoft 365, Exchange, or anything else, and there is no date at which it will. A competitor's comparison page calls Gmail-only "usually disqualifying" for manufacturers. That is a fair description and we are not going to argue with it.
The reason is architectural rather than a matter of not having got round to it. Delynt AI is built on Google's Pub/Sub push notifications: Gmail tells the system a message arrived, and it is read within seconds. The alternative is polling — checking the mailbox every few minutes and hoping the gap is short enough. Polling would work, and it would quietly reintroduce the exact delay the product exists to remove, because a quote request that waits five minutes for a scheduled check has already lost the property that made near-real-time triage worth building.
Every mail provider does push differently. Doing it properly for one provider was a better use of the time than doing it approximately for two. That is a real trade-off with a real cost, and the cost is the part of the market that runs on Outlook.
What that buys the shops who are on Google Workspace: the messages that matter are read and scored as they arrive, not on a schedule.
Where Gmail's own tools stop
Gmail ships a genuinely good set of triage tools, and most shops underuse them. Filters route on sender, domain, subject and body text. Labels and multiple inboxes give a shared mailbox real structure. Priority Inbox learns from what you open. If you have never sat down for an afternoon and written proper filters forsales@, do that before you evaluate any software, including this one.
Here is the wall you hit. Every one of those tools acts on a pattern you defined in advance. A filter is a statement about senders you already know: this domain, that phrase, this address. It executes perfectly and it executes only against what you anticipated.
A shop that has never written to you before matches no pattern. It has an unfamiliar domain, no history in your mailbox, and a subject line you did not predict — which is an exact description of a new customer, and also an exact description of a fraudulent purchase order. Both arrive as unmatched mail. Both land in the same undifferentiated pile as the newsletters. The one category of message you most need pulled out is the one category rules structurally cannot pull out, because the defining feature of a new buyer is that you have nothing on file about them.
That is the gap. Not "Gmail filters are bad" — they are good at what they do. The gap is that the highest value message in the mailbox is the one with the least prior information attached to it, and rules run on prior information.
